TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s help to identify a woman who allegedly scammed Dollar General out of thousands of dollars.

Deputies report that on Dec. 3, a woman entered the store in the 1200 block of Wardline Road and approached the cashier with small items saying she would pay using a “cash card”.

An investigation revealed that the cashier seemed unfamiliar with the payment type as the woman claimed to be the manager from a different Dollar General location and “assisted” her with the transaction.
