TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning, Tampa police said.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the incident happened at the intersection of East Bougainvillea Avenue and McKinley Drive.

Investigators said the victim, a woman in her 20s, was trying to turn onto the avenue when someone in a Dodge Ram crashed into her Kia Sorento. She died at the scene while the two people inside the Ram were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
After the initial crash, a man in a third vehicle tried to avoid hitting the other vehicles but ended up crashing into a wooded area along the road. The department said he was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A woman in a fourth vehicle was hit by debris from the first crash, but she was not hurt, according to a TPD release.
As of this report, East Bougainvillea Avenue and McKinley Drive are still closed. Police ask drivers to find other routes as the investigation continues.
