An exciting event returns on Oct. 2, the Wine D’Vine, with a renewed purpose and spotlight on philanthropy.

Jim and Leslie Levinson are set to receive the Fostering Hearts Legacy Award for their lifelong dedication to improving the lives of foster youth.

Hosted at the Solana Beach home of renowned chef Jeffrey Strauss, Wine D’Vine is more than a spectacular night of fine wine and food—it’s a fundraiser for the children, teens, and families served by Walden Family Services.

“We are thrilled to honor Jim and Leslie Levinson this year,” said Teresa Stivers, CEO of Walden Family Services. “Their leadership, generosity, and compassion have left a lasting legacy not just within Walden but throughout the entire foster care community. This award reflects how deeply they’ve helped transform lives.”

Leslie Levinson, a champion of children and advocate for educational opportunity, has served on Walden’s Board of Directors since 2012 and currently leads as board chair. With a background in nonprofit and higher education finance, she established the Polinsky Children’s Center and San Pasqual Academy.

Jim Levinson, a tax expert, is known for his generous contributions to the causes he supports. Together, the Levinsons exemplify the spirit of giving and have touched countless lives through their dedication to Walden’s mission.

“I’m honored to host Wine D’Vine once again and stand alongside Walden in their incredible mission,” said Chef Jeffrey Strauss. “It’s always a magical evening—delicious food, amazing people, and a cause that truly changes lives.”

Sponsorship opportunities include premium seating and prominent recognition throughout the evening. Proceeds benefit Walden’s vital programs—from housing and education to therapy and life skills development—that empower foster youth to thrive.
