An Asheville location made it onto a list of the top 10 best new hotels in the country for 2024.
Hotels that opened or underwent major renovations over the last year and a half were nominated by a panel of travel experts for the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice list. Then, readers voted for their top picks to crown the winners.

The Radical Hotel – Asheville, North Carolina
The Radical, previously praised as a 2024 destination for Asheville travelers by Travel & Leisure, was ranked No. 2 by 10Best.
10Best writers appreciated The Radical’s “one-of-a-kind” experience, complete with eclectic decor, beautiful views and perfect location for adventurous travelers hoping to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Did The Radical reopen?
The Radical Hotel, at 95 Roberts St. in the River Arts District, has been closed because of damage caused by Tropical Storm Helene in late September. It is scheduled to reopen Jan. 3. During post-Helene cleanup efforts, crews cleared mud from lower levels of the hotel, and community members enjoyed free meals prepared and distributed by the hotel’s restaurant team.
