Cohoes remembers fallen heroes with Memorial Day Parade

COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The city of Cohoes rallied together on Thursday to honor their fallen heroes for a Memorial Day Parade.

It started at Veterans Memorial Park and made its way to Canal Square to honor the lifelong sacrifice of those who gave for the country. The city celebrated Cohoes native William “Bill” Ciejka, who served as the grand marshal and was a member of the Air Force.

His service earned him many awards, including the Strategic Air Command Presidential Unit Citation.
