SCHOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Nauman Hussain was moved to a new correctional facility. According to the New York State Bureau of Prisons, he is now being held in the Attica Correctional Facility outside Buffalo.
He started serving a five-to-15-year prison sentence in the Clinton County Correctional Facility last June, a few weeks after he was convicted of 20 counts of manslaughter.
Hussain was the operator of the limousine company involved in the 2018 Schoharie limousine crash. Twenty people were killed. Hussain has appealed the conviction.
His attorney argues he was not given enough time to decide between jail and a trial after a judge tossed out a plea deal that would have allowed Hussain to avoid prison time.
