DENVER (KDVR) — A man died in the hospital after a fatal car crash in Aurora on Friday, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Police responded to an incident around 2:30 p.m. near E. Jewell Avenue and S. Old Tom Morris Road.
Investigators said that the man was traveling eastbound on E. Jewell Avenue in a Honda Civic. He turned left in front of a Nissan Altima traveling westbound at a high rate of speed.
The vehicles collided and the man was transported to a local hospital.
He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, according to Aurora police.
The driver of the Altima remained on scene and spoke to the police.
