Deadly crash being investigated as suicide

UPDATE: The crash involving a pedestrian that resulted in the death of a person on Thursday, Jan. 2, in East El Paso is being investigated as a suicide, El Paso Police said.

ORIGINAL: EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – One person is dead following a crash involving a pedestrian on Thursday, Jan. 2, in East El Paso, fire dispatch said.

Fire dispatch said the call came in at 3:46 p.m.

The crash closed all lanes at Interstate 10 East before Lomaland for at least six hours, the Texas Department of Transporation (TxDOT) said.
