Woman arrested following stabbing off Ida Acres

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) – A woman was arrested on Sunday in connection with a stabbing off of Ida Acres.

According to officials, just after 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Ida Acres for reports of an assault.

Officers arrived to the scene and found 29-year-old Deondre Nelson suffering from multiple stab wounds. Nelson was then transferred to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed that 27-year-old Felicia Cardilla Hickson stabbed Nelson during a dispute, police said. Officers were able to obtain a warrant on Hickson for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Hickson is currently being held at the Albemarle District Jail under no bond.

The incident remains under investigation.
