List: Colorado Brewers Guild recommends these local fall, Halloween beers

DENVER (KDVR) — Pumpkin spice lattes get a lot of attention around this time of year, but fall is for beer lovers as much as it is for coffee lovers.

Though many Oktoberfest events in Colorado have come and gone for the year, fall beer season is far from over.

The Colorado Brewers Guild rounded up a list of local spooky and fall-themed brews to celebrate the season.

Here are some local fall beers recommended by the Colorado Brewers Guild:

  • Peepin’ Leaves – Living the Dream Brewing Company
    • Oatmeal milk stout with vanilla, pumpkin pie spices and Corvus coffee
    • 6% ABV
  • Pumpkin Spice Ale – Mythmaker Brewing
    • American Amber Ale brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove and fresh ginger root
    • 5.9% ABV
  • Mile High Horseman Imperial Pumpkin Ale – Berkeley Alley Beer Company
    • Amber ale with an aroma of pumpkin, vanilla, graham cracker, ginger and cinnamon
    • 8.5% ABV
  • Punky Masala Savory Pumpkin Ale – New Terrain Brewing Co.
    • Notes of pumpkin, cinnamon and curry
    • Variants with 6.4% ABV and 9.9% ABV
  • Pumpkin Porter – Old 121 Brewhouse
    • Chocolate, roast and pumpkin character
    • 7.9% ABV
  • Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale – Sky Bear Brewery and Pub
    • Real pumpkin, wheat and biscuit flavors with a sweet rim
    • 6.4% ABV
  • Biere de Gourd – Bruz Beers
    • Ginger forward, subtly spiced with freshly baked pumpkin pie aroma
    • 6.7% ABV
  • Pumpkin Spice Latte Nitro – Left Hand Brewing Company
    • Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice with pumpkin and Ozo’s Ursa Major coffee
    • 7% ABV
